If your answer is yes, then maybe you shouldn’t be pro choice.

What the fuck does this even attempt to mean?

I absolutely hate this ridiculous anti-choice attempt at an argument. Abortion is a medical operation. Of course they don’t and wouldn’t use guns. This isn’t even worth arguing against.
Would it bother you more if they got rid of tumours with guns?
Would it bother you more if they got rid of kidney stones with guns?
This argument is pointless and invalid.

Welcome to Until Anti-Choice Bigotry Ends.

Pledge what you are willing to give up until anti-choice bigotry ends.

Submit to us HERE a written piece, a photo, a voice recording, or a video of your pledge (Read the guidelines as to what you should submit and how to format it here).

Thank you.

Sincerely,

UNTIL ANTI-CHOICE BIGOTRY ENDS.

That is absolutely amazing. Signal boost!

I will be thinking incredibly hard about what useless thing I can give up. The first things that spring to mind are definitely junk foods I can go without! It’s going to be fantastic trying to convince everybody I’m actually making a difference.

If the anti-abortion movement took a tenth of the energy they put into noisy theatrics and devoted it to improving the lives of children who have been born into lives of poverty, violence, and neglect, they could make a world shine.

Young people having children.

Just fucking stop.

Unless I’m missing something I think this is out of order. I know plenty of people who became parents when they were around 17, did a fucking good job of it and raised wonderful kids.

I’m not saying that there aren’t exceptionally brave and strong teenagers that are capable of putting themselves aside to raise a child but 99.999999999% of the time it’s a selfish misguided decision that ends in a neglected fucked up child.

Until you can be completely selfless then you have no business having kids.

I understand what you’re saying and I agree that maybe most people when they’re teenagers aren’t really emotionally mature enough to deal with having children, never mind financially stable. But I think you’re being too strong damning all children of young parents as neglected and fucked up. I just think that that’s a bit insulting, really.

Most of them if they could “just fucking stop” would btw. Not many of them WANT kids at 16. A lot of those are due to bad sex education, lack of access to contraceptives, etc.

^

If people would open their fucking eyes, stop saying “just don’t have sex” or “stop having children” as if either of those phrases made ANY, ANY difference at all, and actually tried to handle the problem at the root of the cause, we might actually get somewhere.

Instead of saying “don’t have sex”, accept the fact that young people WILL and DO have sex. Telling them to stop is not changing a thing. Informing them about correct contraceptives and birth control and giving them ACCESS to contraceptives and birth control WILL change things.

Instead of demonising abortion and people who get abortions, we need to inform people that abortion is just as valid an option as ANY other when faced with an unwanted or unexpected pregnancy.

Instead of teaching abstinence, we need to give children REAL sex education. We need to tell young people how they can get pregnant so that we don’t have kids running around going “CAN I GET PREGNANT OFF A TOILET SEAT??” and “IF THE GIRL IS ON TOP CAN SHE STILL GET PREGNANT??”.

There are a lot of things we can do to try and decrease the rate of teen pregnancy.

Telling them to “just fucking stop”? Yeah. That isn’t one of them.

My abortion actually makes me a chef, because after a birth control failure in the middle of my culinary school program I was able to graduate, uninterrupted, and realize my dream of owning a successful restaurant.

Ahahahaha awesome commentary is awesome.

I’m pretty sure abortion does make you unpregnant. I’d be fairly pissed if I got an abortion and then a couple months later realised I was still pregnant.

Pro-Life MPs Bid to change UK Abortion Laws.

frass:

PLEASE PLEASE, READ THIS AND INFORM AND ARM YOURSELVES. WE CANNOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN. THIS IS A COMMON TACTIC IN ANTI-CHOICE PLACES TO RESTRICT UTERUS BEARERS’ OPTIONS. INFORM EVERYONE YOU KNOW OF WHY THIS IS WRONG, WHAT THE CONSEQUENCES WILL BE, AND COME UP WITH WAYS TO STOP NADINE DORRIES FROM GETTING THIS PASSED.

How fucking dare you. You would compare the mentality of people who enslave, torture and murder others based on prejudice to that of the pro-choice mentality? A mentality that saves the lives of uterus-bearers and grants them the right to do what they want with their own body? The difference between Hitler and me is that he believed it was okay to infringe on other people’s rights, life and dignity. No, in fact, this is fucking rich because what Hitler did is exactly what pro-lifers want to do: control people’s bodies and choices, deny them certain rights and do this by using anti-choice, misogynistic propaganda.
YOU have more in common with Hitler and those racist fucks who enslaved black people than I or any other pro-choicer does.If I chose to have an abortion it would happen to something that is INSIDE MY body. Enslavement happens to people who have been born, who are autonomously living, who have feelings, dreams, families, loved ones - an actual life.Pro-life laws enslave uterus-bearers to their biology and force them to carry unwanted pregnancies to term and then give birth against their will. That is a violation of human rights. That is fascist. Allowing others to make their own choices about THEIR OWN BODIES is not the same as redefining personhood so that you can murder people you don’t like. You sick fuck.

^ Commentary. I have nothing else to say but fuck you. You have no idea what slavery was like, or the Holocaust. Do fetuses get shoved in concentration camps and starved for days? NO. Did fetuses endure countless lynchings and racist actions held against them? NO.
How dare you even try to compare ethnic cleansing to abortion. Fetuses cannot feel pain until 24 weeks. Less than 1.5 percent of abortions happen after 21 weeks. How on earth can you compare something as traumatic as GENOCIDE to a medical procedure on something that does not feel pain?
The idea that abortion is even comparable to slavery shows your goddamn privilege. Racism is prevalent in many pro-life discussions (black genocide claims, anyone?) but using another -ism to compare a procedure that needs to be legalized in order for uterus-bearers to be safe is bullshit. Want to give a voice for the unborn? Save it for when they’re born, donate to young parents who need the money to bring up a child. Donate to children around the world who need help already.
